To start the adventure, Flame Moon is currently free in all stores.

A sexy paranormal romance series, the Flame Moon novels follows four friends with mythological powers.

It begins with Flame Moon:

Skye Walters thought waking up on the side of a river with no memory was her biggest problem. She had no idea that the man who had saved her from drowning, the man she now depended on, Aiden, was more than mere mortal. A warrior of ancient.

No memory, nowhere to go, Skye stays in the mountain town, only to discover she herself, has unexplained powers. Her life, her destiny, are soon out of her control, as are her feelings for Aiden. The deeper Skye gets sucked into Aiden’s hidden world, the more the past, and who she really is, threatens her future, her love, her sanity.

A preview:

His words were clipped, scolding. “You’re letting your anger take over, and that makes you ineffective at protecting your core. You’re too busy looking for an opportunity to strike me.”

“And why shouldn’t I strike back?” Skye spat out. “You’re not teaching me anything that would really help me.”

Aiden’s jaw flexed. “I’m teaching you to stay alive.”

“Really Aiden?” She pointed in disgust at her sword lying in the scrub grass. “I block and block and block. Clearly I can only block for so long. You need to teach me — god — just teach me something other than how to get my ass kicked.”

Aiden’s jaw cracked to an almost imperceptible smile at her words. But his sword didn’t move from her stomach. “Skye, I get what you’re saying, and we’ll get to that in time. But right now it’s not your responsibility to kill anyone. That’s my job.”

“Your job?” Her arm flew up in annoyance. “And what if you’re not around?”

“Not going to happen,” his voice was calm. “And if I’m not there, I need you to be able to stay alive, no matter what, until I am there.”

“And if you’re not there, I’m dead?” Skye stared up at the white clouds dotting the blue sky, trying to hold back tears of frustration.

“Skye, look at me.”

It took a long stubborn moment for Skye’s eyes to shift to Aiden. His blue eyes stormed with intensity.

“I will be there.”

The words were spoken with an intent and conviction that made Skye’s breath catch in her throat. There would be no more questions on this point. The words were secondary to the absoluteness in Aiden’s voice, in his eyes.

Skye could only nod.

“Good.” He gave her a crisp tilt of his head. “Now pick it up.” The tip of his blade finally left her stomach to point at her sword still on the ground.

I just read Flame Moon and now I need to read the next two in the series. It was a total page turner for me. Loved the characters so I need to read the next in the series to see what happens to these characters because I am so invested in all of them. This would make a great TV series! Keep writing.

Loved this book and the four powerful friends. I think it would make a very successful movie. Perhaps you could rewrite as a screenplay. I love and admire your work and look forward to more. Good luck.

Have you decided on if there will be any more from the Flame Moon characters? Either continuing on or spin off books? I’m hooked and would love to read more about the 4 main characters,Shiv & Damen, or even Helen.

      Hi all!
For both Robyn and Sara specifically, the question is still hanging out there, isn’t it??? What about more Flame Moon books? Believe me, I am working on it! (And I laughed when I saw your note, Robyn — “even Helen” — sounds like you’ll take anything 🙂 .) So here’s what I can share so far: I’ve settled on a “dark side” spin-off, with the first book featuring Damen. Book two will feature Shiv.

And I know so many of you have been so patient waiting for more of this series to continue — and aside from being humbled by the enthusiasm, I am grateful! Hang in there, they will come eventually! (But it will be a bit longer.)
      All the best!

Hi, I have just finished reading Flame Moon and I enjoyed your writing very much so I have purchased books 2 and 3.
I have a dose of the flu at the moment which meant I could read your story in one sitting. Enjoyed it very much.

      Hi Bev-
I understand — nothing worse than waiting for a next book to come out. I do plan on a few more in the FM line, although the first three pretty much wrap up the stories around those characters (although they will make appearances in the next one). The next few will revolve around some characters introduced in the first three. I have toyed with the idea that the next ones will be “spin-off series,” instead of 4, 5, etc., but haven’t made that decision yet.

All that said, those will probably be out in the later half of 2015, if all goes as planned. Thanks for checking on them!
      All the best–K.J.
